Tinder: Pride Ride

Supporting the LGBTQIA+ community

The Background
Tinder wanted to support the LGBTQIA+ community and acknowledge the thousands of people within regional communities who can’t always get to Sydney to celebrate Pride.

Introducing the Tinder Pride Ride, a one-day road trip from Goulbourn to Sydney for Mardi Gras, hosted on the Magic Bus.

The Nuts and Bolts
To find bus-goers Tinder held a social competition in search of LGBTQIA+ youth in regional towns in NSW. 10x winners and their plus-ones were chosen to ride on the Pride Ride and picked up along the way.

The double decker bus was decked out head-to-toe in true Tinder Pride style and bus-goers were treated to a slew of entertainment from DJs, comedians, musicians and drag queens.

The Pride Ride began in Goulburn at the Big Merino, before going to Moss Vale for a bit of horsing around, Wollongong for a scenic lunch and finally Oxford Street, Sydney.

At the end of the Pride Ride, winners were dropped off a Heaps Gay X Tinder opening night party on Oxford Street. Winners then spent the weekend in Sydney attending Poof Doof, Sydney Mardi Gras and an unforgettable after party.
