The background
Madame Tussauds wanted us to create an immersive experience that would complement the upcoming launch of the Dylan Alcott wax figure.
Dylan is an icon and an inspiration to thousands of Aussies around the country, so we decided to create an experience that would give people a taste of what it’s like to be Dylan and more importantly, show people just how amazing Dylan really is.
We created ‘Serve Like Dylan’, an experience blending physical and digital worlds together to give people the ultimate Dylan experience.
The nuts and bolts
Starting with a custom wheelchair replica of what Dylan uses on a daily basis, we created a game in which you would sit on the chair and try your hand at serving as fast as you can, just like Dylan.
Using kinect-technology, the experience could map speed and accuracy whilst Dylan’s audio narration throughout the game would also bring to life Dylan’s lovable, supportive and friendly spirit.
The experience debuted in December 2022 and is a permanent fixture at Madame Tussauds!
